Master Your Golf Swing with Ease: How to Set Up SwingPro’s In-App Capture Process

Updated: Sep 16

Are you ready to take your golf game to the next level?

With SwingPro, your personal AI golf coach, you can shave strokes off your game and elevate your performance. Setting up your in-app capture process is simple and intuitive.

Follow these steps to ensure you get the most out of your SwingPro experience!

1. Open the App and Get Started

Launch the SwingPro app and press the green arrow button at the bottom of the screen.

2. Choose Your Club and Perspective

Next, select your club type and shooting perspective. You can choose between "Down the Line" or "Face On" views.

3. Positioning Your Camera

The app will prompt you with screen commands to help you estimate the correct distance from the ball.

If you have a friend with you, position your camera so the ball aligns with the square on your screen.

If you are alone, place the ball on the ground, then walk to your phone that is mounted on a tripod. Then, you will position the camera so that the ball aligns with the square on your screen.

Walk forward or back, depending on the prompts that appear on the screen, until the square turns green and displays "Ready to Capture." You're all set!

For the initial setup:

  • Three paces away from the ball for “Face On” centered on golfer position. (9ft / 3 mtrs)

  • Four paces away from the ball  for “Down the Line” pointed toward target. (12ft / 4 mtrs)

Pro tip: If you are confident your distance is correct with the ball in green square and you are still seeing “move back,”  go ahead and step up to address position. You should hear the initiation process begin. If not realign to proper distance according to commands. Sometimes the lighting can have this affect.

4. Capture Your Swing

Once you're in position, you'll hear a sequence of beeps. The four slow beeps indicate you're in the correct spot and give you time to waggle before your swing.

A fifth loud, solid beep means the video capture has begun. Take your swing during this 10-second period of time, and the final beep will signal the end of the capture.

The video will be sent to our server for analysis. This usually takes just a minute or two, and you'll receive a detailed swing analysis and priority instruction plan shortly after.

5. Record Multiple Videos for Comprehensive Feedback

We recommend capturing at least five videos from each perspective for the best results. After your first video, the rest are a breeze—reposition the ball, select your club and perspective and step up to the ball. With SwingPro, you'll swing like a pro in no time!
